UBAT - Manifesto
Meaning of UBAT: Sanskrit word, ‘Uthistaa’ means, ‘Arise’. In UBAT, the word, ‘Bhumi’ represents the land of India; and, ‘Ashram’ symbolizes, ‘Help center’. ‘Trust’ of course is the organization. UBAT is founded to work as a help center to uplift the downtrodden people of India from their financial, and emotional situations.
Philosophy behind origin of UBAT: There are two situations where a person’s dignity is shattered. One when one is unable to arrange basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter for oneself or loved ones. Two when a person has emotional breakdown but afraid to get counseling help due to fear of stigma. In both situations, the solution to the problem of one person lies with another. There is just a need of a vehicle or machinery that would connect these two people; so that the society becomes a far better place to live in. UBAT was founded to act as that mediator, vehicle, channel or instrument; which in Sanskrit is called as, ‘Madhyam’.
Objectives of UBAT:
UBAT’s charitable work towards poor and needy in specific-
1. Provide free food, and drinking water.
2. Provide free clothing and shelter.
3. Provide free medicines, diagnostic and clinical facilities.
4. Provide free basic amenities such as water, sanitation and hygiene.
5. Provide free libraries, education, books, and study materials.
6. Provide free legal assistance.
7. Provide free Yoga and other wellbeing facilities.
UBAT’s charitable work towards Society in general-
8. Provide counseling help to emotionally disturbed.
9. Provide rehabilitation facility to alcohol and other addicts.
10. Provide educational and other awareness for child development.
11. Provide and promote movies, and documentary films to spread awareness on the
importance of organ donation.
12. Provide sports, playgrounds, and recreation centers.
13. Provide eco-friendly solution to agriculture, and livelihood improvement.
14. Provide plantation of trees, and beautification of public places.
15. Provide animal protection and care.
16. Provide, promote and support the preservation of Indian culture.
17. Provide Good Samaritan help during emergencies- natural disasters, and manmade.
Long term goal of UBAT:
18. Air ambulance facility in cities.
19. Make India a beggar-free country.
20. Abolish child labor from India.
Locations of UBAT: UBAT projects and activities will be carried out all over India. Headquarter is planned to be in Palghar district, 90 km from the western outskirts of Mumbai, India.
Slogan of UBAT: “Jo karne chala dusro ka bhala, ho Himalay se ooncha tera hausla. (May confidence of a Good Samaritan be taller than the Himalaya Mountain.)
Vision of UBAT: To be India’s largest Charitable Trust; serving the poor and needy 24x7.
Affiliates of UBAT: At present UBAT has no affiliate. And, UBAT has no intention of associating with any political or religious parties. UBAT will not differentiate between people on the basis of religion, cast, or class.
Finances of UBAT: UBAT being a Non-Profit Organization of Charitable nature; the prime source of income will be, ‘Donations’. Donations will be accepted globally.
Projects of UBAT: UBAT’s projects and activities will be carried out all over India in both urban and rural sectors. (Nature of the projects can be found in the section, ‘Objectives of UBAT’.)
Volunteers of UBAT: There will be over 500,000 volunteers of UBAT spread all over the country. God has blessed every person with the ability to do something. As long as a person has a heart of volunteering to help others, he or she can help out. Further, UBAT will provide training to the volunteers to serve the needy.
Volunteers will have no obligation whatsoever. They always get to choose time and nature of work based on their convenience and comfort.
Why UBAT? UBAT is a new concept of creating a huge network of volunteers spread all over India. Until UBAT enormously grows, there will be neither physical locations (except the registered office) nor paid staff; thus, eliminating administration cost completely; 100% of donations will be used to serve the poor and needy. This philosophy makes UBAT stand out from thousands of other Non-Profit Organizations that spend a huge portion of donations into administrative expenses.

UBAT started making India a better society by feeding the poor. It is slowly venturing into several other projects to give every individual a dignified life. And, finally UBAT aims achieving something truly huge, such as providing air ambulance facility, making India a beggar free nation, and abolishing child labor from the country.
